While there have been several series of bacjlashws directed at Tottenham Hotspur’s Italian manager Antonio Conte, especially in recent times following their recent troubling performances, the club’s former player, Aaron Lennon, has decided to give him some backing. The London club decides to appoint Conte, a former manager at fellow London club, Chelsea, after they parted ways with former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Nuno Espirito Santo following a series of poor performances on the pitch and the decision has been met with mixed reactions ever since.

However, there have been a lot of things to talk about regarding Tottenham’s present form as they have continued to whither away, thereby slowly decreasing their chances of finishing in the top 4 at the end of the season. In a recent press conference, Conte mentioned that it would be difficult for Spurs to finish in the Champions League places at the end of the season because of the kind of mentality the players have and that has caused a major uproar among the fans of the club.
A lot of the fans believe that the manager should not have come public with such a statement and should have addressed it privately instead. But according to Lennon, Conte should be given the time he needs to fix the club.
